The vegetarian Bio-Pension Haus am Watt is located between Büsum and St. Peter-Ording on a mound on the dike, nestled in a landscape of meadows and fields. The Wadden Sea National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in mid-2009, begins just one kilometer away: an ecosystem that is unique in the world, inhabited by a fascinating world of flora and fauna and whose rhythm is determined by wind, water, mud flats and salt marshes.
In the old hall, breakfast awaits you in the morning with freshly baked rolls and eggs from our own chickens. In the evening we cook a vegetarian and vegan 3-course menu for you. In our kitchen we use ingredients from controlled organic, mainly regional cultivation.
During the restoration of the 250-year-old thatched-roof farm, the focus was on preserving the original character. The furniture is deliberately kept simple and natural. Each of the spacious rooms and apartments is individually and comfortably furnished with mostly antique country house furniture.
We are a climate-neutral company and in the process of becoming climate-positive.
... there is a large garden with old fruit trees and sunbathing lawns, a sunny terrace right in front of the house, a pond biotope and a fireplace as well as chickens, cats, a peaceful dog, four ponies and a horse. For our guests there is a rustic barrel sauna available for relaxation right by the pond.
